Sioux Plating opened for business June 1 of 1959 at the location of 410 Iowa Street in Sioux City, Iowa under the partnership of Charles F. and Jacque Miller.  The partnership remained until 1974 when Jacque purchased the remaining shares.

Property was purchased and a new facility was built in 1973 at the present location of 428 East 9th Street in South Sioux City, Nebraska.  We remain a family based business up to today.

For over 52 years we have served customers worldwide.  Our standards are based on Midwestern values of hard work and quality workmanship.  Our team of expert technicians have a combined total of over 150 years of service to the industry and are leaders in processing your parts in a professional and efficient way.

We realize that each and every part is extremely valuable and personal so our standard for restoration plating and restoration chrome work is to process each part like it is our own.

Each piece is examined in detail and any imperfections are marked for repair.  Our skilled technicians use fabrication methods are necessary:  welding, brazing, grinding, buffing.  We will bring your parts back to their original shapes and dimensions.

Plating / restoration is available for steel and stainless steel, and for all kinds of parts:  automotive, hardware, boats, motorcycles and more.

To insure the highest quality finish, the company's restoration process includes Triple Chrome Plating.

• Pricing and Tagging:  Upon receiving your part, your items are immediately photographed, logged into our computer system and given a job number.

• Straightening:  We remove any and all dents from your bumpers or specialty parts.

• Grinding/Polishing:  Our polishing ends with a final stroke of 500 grit finish to insure that "show chrome" finish.  Others charge more; we include it in our normal process.

• Plating:  All parts are coated with 2 layers of nickel, duplex nickel and bright nickel and well as a final chrome plating finish to insure the maximum quality finish.

• Cleaning/Final Inspection:  All parts are cleaned/inspected for any defects in workmanship.

• Packaging:  All parts are individually packaged for final processing before customer pickup.
